IVF Treatment

What is IVF Treatment?

IVF stands for In Vitro fertilization. It’s one of the widely known types of assisted reproductive technology. In the IVF procedure, the eggs are retrieved from the ovaries of a female, and by mixing them with the sperm of the husband in a high-tech laboratory, fertilization is achieved. These fertilized eggs are called embryos. To make multiple eggs, one needs to administer injections every day for 9 to 10 days, these are very mild injections given subcutaneously which means under the skin. And to know the maturity of the eggs, serial ultrasounds are done.

And we will be more than happy to assist you, as we provide a safe and healthy IVF Treatment.

IVF Treatment

IVF treatment in Dubai is one of the forms of assisted reproduction technology that has gained the most public attention. Fertilization is accomplished using this method by first removing eggs from a woman’s ovaries, then combining those eggs well with sperm of the male partner in a sophisticated laboratory setting. The result is a healthy baby. These eggs that have been fertilised are referred to as embryos. To produce many other eggs, an individual is required to give themselves injections daily for nine to ten days.

These treatments at our clinic in UAE are quite light and are given parenterally. A series of ultrasound imaging are performed in order to determine the developmental stage of the eggs. In order to recover these eggs also with assistance of an ultrasound equipment, a very light anaesthetic is administered for a period of ten minutes. After the eggs have been collected, the sperm from the male partner is added to them so that they can be fertilised. Embryos are generated once the process of fertilization has been completely finished amid our IVF treatment in UAE. After three to four days have passed after the embryos have been retrieved, they are implanted within the uterus of such female. Following 12 days, the female will go in for a pregnancy test in order to determine whether or not she is carrying a child amid visiting any best IVF centre in Dubai

PRODUCTION OF EMBRYOS

A very mild anesthesia is given for 10 minutes to retrieve these eggs with the help of an ultrasound machine. Once these eggs are retrieved, they are mixed with the husband’s semen to fertilize them. After the fertilization process is completed, embryos are formed. These embryos are deposited back into the uterus of the female after three- or five-days post-retrieval. And then the pregnancy test is performed after 12 days to know if the female is pregnant or not.

PURPOSE OF IVF TREATMENT

The main purpose of IVF Treatment is to treat infertility in women, the following are the most important indications for IVF treatment:

  1. Bilateral blockage of tubes.
  2. Unexplained infertility.
  3. Moderate to severe endometriosis.
  4. Repeated Miscarriages.
  5. Repeated IUI failures.
  6. Genetic Disorders.
  7. Ovulation disorders.
  8. Uterine Fibroids.
  9. Gender Selection.
  10. History of abnormality and diseases in the family.

If there is any history of an abnormal baby in the family, for such purposes, PGD and PGS tests are performed to increase the probability of a healthy baby. And this is done through IVF/ICSI.

STAGES OF IVF PROCEDURES:

Normally the IVF procedure is comprised of the following stages:

  • INVESTIGATION

Investigations is the 1st step in IVF procedure. A thorough investigation of the male and female is done to rule out any hormonal imbalance or deficiencies, like thyroid, Vit D, Hemoglobin, urine and blood sugar, etc.

The following tests are done before starting the IVF cycle:

  1. FSH/LH /prolactin, TSH, and E2.
  2. Vitamin D.
  3. CBC
  4. Random blood sugar.
  5. Viral markers like HIV, Australia antigen, Hepatitis C, and VDRL.
  6. Rubella and HPLC.
  7. Urine Routine and Culture.
  8. Husband Semen Analysis.

Once the investigations have been completed and any abnormal findings have been addressed, IVF treatment is initiated on the second day of the menstrual cycle to improve the probability of success.

  • OVARIAN STIMULATION

The ovarian stimulation stage consists of follicular monitoring, which is a series of ultrasound carried out to monitor the ovarian follicles, and the reason why we monitor them is to evaluate the mutation of eggs and document the pathway to ovulation.

For this stage, small subcutaneous injections are prescribed to be taken every day for the next 9-10 days. At the same time, follicular monitoring and hormone tests are done 2 to 3 times for 10 days.

Now if there is an increase in the thickness of the endometrium, hormone levels, and signs of egg maturation is displayed, then it is considered a good sign.

After strict monitoring for one fine day, the trigger injection is given which provides final maturation to the eggs, and it will be retrieved after 34 to 36 hours of triggering the Injection.

  •  EGG RETRIEVAL

The timing of egg retrieval is very crucial, as otherwise eggs can be released in the abdomen if delayed.  The egg retrieval is done in IVF OT under strict aseptic precautions. General anesthesia is given for 10 to 15 minutes and the follicular fluid is sucked with the help of a machine. Eggs are retrieved from the ovaries with the help of a vaginal ultrasound machine. They are identified from the follicular fluid and kept in the culture media so the egg retrieval process is complete.

  • FERTILIZATION

In the Fertilization process, the selected eggs are mixed with washed semen samples provided by the husband. This is done by an experienced embryologist team in a high- tech embryology lab – Ferticlinic IVF Centre. Once the fertilization process is completed, the prepared dish in which eggs and sperm are fertilized is kept in the incubator for 2 to 3 days. A regular check of these embryos such as their quality and numbers is done by an Embryologist team. Once the good quality of embryos is identified the next process starts, which is embryo transfer.

  • EMBRYO TRANSFER

Embryo transfer is a simple procedure, it is painless and is done under ultrasound guidance which takes 5 to 10 minutes only. Before the embryo transfer is performed, the quality and quantity of the embryos are obtained after the discussion with the Couple. once the consent of the couple is obtained regarding the number of embryos to be retained, the rest of the embryos can be frozen for subsequent use.

  • PREGNANCY TEST

By the end of the procedure, a blood test is performed for pregnancy. The doctor will run a blood test to determine the pregnancy and, if so, test will be repeated in two days. As long as your blood hormone level (hCG) is rising appropriately, a vaginal ultrasound is scheduled approximately three weeks later to view the health of the pregnancy.

Why IVF treatment in Dubai is carried out?

In vitro fertilization, often known as IVF, is a technique that may be used to treat infertility as well as genetic disorders. If IVF treatment in Dubai is going to be conducted as just a method of treating infertility, you as well as your partner may be able to explore less obtrusive alternative treatments before trying IVF.

When it comes to treating infertility among women over the age of 40, in vitro fertilization (IVF) is sometimes used as the primary potential treatment. In vitro fertilization (IVF) at our clinic is an option for those with specific medical issues as well. For instance, infertility treatment with in vitro fertilization (IVF) could be a possibility for you or your spouse in the event that one of the following conditions applies:

Damage or obstruction to the fallopian tubes– If the fallopian tubes are damaged or blocked, it is more challenging for an egg to get fertilized or for an embryo to go from the ovary to the uterus.

Ovulation disorders- Whenever ovulation occurs seldom or not at all, there will be a lower number of eggs ready to be fertilized.

Endometriosis is a condition that develops when tissue that is comparable to the covering of the uterus implantation as well as grows beyond the uterus. This growth can interfere with the functioning of the ovaries, the uterine tubes, and indeed the fallopian tubes. Endometriosis can be a painful condition.
Uterine fibroids are indeed a benign kind of tumor that can develop in the uterus. It is normal for them to appear in women in late twenties and forties. Fibroids have been shown to prevent a fertilized egg from successfully implanting into the uterine wall. At this moment our IVF treatment in Dubai proves to be effective.

Prior tubal ablation or expulsion: A form of sterilization known as tubal ligation permanently prevents conception by cutting or blocking the fallopian tubes. This procedure is also known as tubal ligation. Our IVF treatment in Dubai is a promising option to tubal ligation reverse surgery for those who have already had their tubes tied and now desire to start a family.

Inadequate sperm generation or operation: A quantity of sperm that is below average, poor motility on the part of the sperm, or irregularities in the size and structure of the sperm can all make it challenging for sperm to fertilize an egg. If irregularities in the sample of semen are discovered, it is recommended that the patient contact an infertility expert to see whether the issues may be remedied or whether there are deeper underlying health issues. Thus, our IVF cost in Dubai is quite budget friendly so it can be surely considered with such amazing perks that it is offering.
